Closed-beta applications

Your privacy.

Updated 8 October 2026

This notice covers closed-beta applications, invitation activation, game-account access, recovery, and browser preferences.

What the form collects

Your chosen player name and email address. It also records the time of your application and your agreement to receive application and play-test messages.

Why we collect it

The Kaldmarch team uses applications to select play-test participants, contact selected applicants about their application and invitations. The form doesn’t create a game account and doesn’t ask for a password.

Where it is saved

Applications and invitation records are saved alongside the game’s account data. They are not published on the website or stored as an application record in your browser.

What happens next

Invitations are sent by the team as test places become available. Applying does not guarantee an invitation. The website records your application; it does not automatically send an invitation email.

Keeping information limited

Application information should be kept only while needed to organise and run the closed beta, then reviewed for deletion. The final retention period still needs to be published before beta launch. To withdraw an application or request removal of your details, contact support@kaldmarch.com from the address you applied with.

Login and request limits

Your login details are passed to the game portal to check your existing account. The game checks and stores password credentials; the landing interface does not keep passwords in browser storage. Session cookies let the portal recognise your account. Request counters use hashed network and account identifiers to limit repeated attempts; old counters are removed when subsequent requests are processed.

Invitations and account recovery

Invitation records connect your email to a single-use code and record when it is used or withdrawn. Recovery requests use expiring verification links. Account messages may be delivered through Resend. Your password is never included in those messages.

Browser preferences

The site does not use advertising trackers. A session-only browser preference remembers whether you have seen the arrival animation. Ambient music starts with your first click or key press and stops by itself after half a minute; turning it off is remembered in this browser. The language you choose is remembered in this browser too. The hosting service may handle operational logs and access information to run and protect the site.

Visit statistics

Page visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not identify you or follow you across sites. It reports totals such as page views, the country of a visit and the page that linked here.

Your rights and data requests

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or exported, have your account and its data deleted, or object to how it is used. Email support@kaldmarch.com from the address of your account or application, with your player name. We answer within one month. Deleting an account removes its player name from the game’s rankings; some records may be kept for as long as the law requires or for security, for example to prevent abuse.

Public rankings

The Worlds page shows the top ten players and tribes of each open world, with the player or tribe name, points and number of holdings. They are the same names and numbers the in-game ranking shows. If you do not want your name in the ranking, ask support to delete your account.

Launch announcement

If you leave your email to be told when public play opens, we keep the address, the language you used and the time you agreed. We use it only to send that one announcement. Write to support@kaldmarch.com to be removed.
